Time to raise the vibrations of LOVE

Valentine’s Day is one of the few celebrations during the year where there is an opportunity to express love, share affection and get caught up in the historical origins which are shrouded in mystery.

Although the day is steeped in traditions of red roses, cupid, and the familiar heart shape symbols – we acknowledge that there is more to love than romance – there is a love of self, love of others and love of life.

Self-love is about mindfulness – the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing. Loving ourselves unconditionally, isn’t innate for most of us – it’s a practice – it strengthens and endures, making it easier to love others and to love life.

“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”

-Buddha

Love of others is the love that connects us. Mother Teresa, once remarked,

“Love cannot remain by itself—it has no meaning. Love must be put into action, and that action is service.”

As a carer, I believe this is the love we excel at – giving love comes naturally, it is not only the grassroots of our profession but we give it selflessly and without hesitation. We love unconditionally but need to tap into our oneness to elevate and enrich our experiences.

‘There’s actually no place where God stops and you start,’ and no place where you stop and I start. Love is energy, an infinite continuum. Your mind extends into mine and into everyone else’s. It doesn’t stay enclosed within your body.”

Marianne Williamson

Life is a precious gift. It is all too easy to get caught up in everyday life, ignoring the deeper meaning and purpose of our journey. With a love for life nourished by feelings of gratitude, we have the opportunity to join like-minded individuals in a quest to raise the vibrations of this physical world.

So today, even though some may be influenced by the idea that love is an emotion only felt by two people we understand now that love is universal, an energy, a contagious force – a gift to us by God for everyone – especially those who feel self-conscious and base their worth on the egocentric outcome of the day!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all those beautiful carers out there – I pray is that you love yourself deeply, serve others with compassion and embrace the magnificence of this precious life.

May your focus continue to be love, and may that energy and emotion be amplified through the holographic nature of the Universe and the power of ‘collective consciousness’ on this special day!
