Spiritual Law of Responsibility (The Body – Part 2)
Everyone has a doctor in him or her; we just have to help it in its work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. Our food should be our medicine. Our medicine should be our food… Hippocrates

Our relationship with food is a mirror of the relationship we have with life, and I knew that I had to start making decisions that were authentic to my body’s needs.
There were elements of my life that were out of balance – out of alignment – and this had been expressed through sabotaging patterns, and using food as my weapon of choice.
When I acknowledged how life had nourished me I felt the need to return the favour and nourish my body with the food it so desperately craved. Personally, I owed it to myself to navigate this physical world with a body that is loved, nurtured and a finely tuned vehicle ready to serve for many years to come.
I have suffered from lower back pain for many years and was aware of the raging battle within that had manifested into inflammation. My body’s unique ecosystem had been compromised and the ‘hidden army’ of microbes (composed of bacteria, bacteriophage, fungi, protozoa and viruses) that live inside and on the human body was undoubtedly stressed.
Humans need microbes to stay healthy, and many microbes need the environments provided by the human body to survive – “you are what your microbes eat” – and because our microbiome grows and changes with us throughout our lives, I knew I could take the opportunity to self-correct and make right!
“Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease” – Hippocrates
In terms of the care industry, we have a huge responsibility to look after the nutritional needs of those in our care. We owe it to our clients to empower ourselves with the knowledge of healing nutrients, and affordable, tasty alternatives to foods that have hijacked our taste buds and keep us trapped in commercial, ready-made meals!
“It’s far more important to know what person the disease has than what disease the person has” Hippocrates
Everything we eat and drink has its own vibrational energy and serves to purify the body so that it works in harmony with the mind and soul.
So my life in its simplicity involves consuming food in its pure, raw form – naturally infiltrated with the energy from the sun – enjoying water infused with love and prayers of gratitude – walks with my dogs for the sheer enjoyment of it, high vibrational feelings of a pain-free existence, and the beautiful guidance of Archangel Raphael – the angel of healing.
My body is like a tuning fork for Divine energy and when I live in gratitude for this beautiful intricate vessel, I feel eternally blessed that I am here to see another day! Healing is a process but we need to –
