Namaste…Siyabona…I see you! Happy Birthday Toni Raine

Today is my beautiful daughter’s birthday, and as I started writing this post for her it struck me that Truth be told, it is only when we actually ‘see’ ourselves and acknowledge our own inner greatness that we have the capacity to recognise this in another

As she celebrates her birthday in India, her African roots are undeniable and it is no coincidence that I felt compelled to acknowledge her by looking at two words that encapsulate the same profound meaning in two different languages from two special cultures that are close to her heart  – namely…

Namaste Siyabona I See You

‘namasté’ – a Sanskrit word for a traditional Indian greeting and

‘siyabona’ –  a Zulu word for a greeting in Southern Africa

Loosely translated both words mean ‘ I see you…’ So what is the relevance? Have you ever considered that we are so caught up in the outer trappings of our physical reality that we fail to see the unique expression of the Divine in all of us – in other words, we don’t really see each other at all

I for one was once lost in a world of perfection, a ‘caretaker parent’, who needed to get everything done for others, and by so doing, neglected my own issues and needs. Obligation became a breeding ground for resentment as I needed to prove myself in order to feel loved. In essence, I didn’t recognise my own magnificence

If I knew then what I know now, parenting may have been very different. I have no regrets because I know that everything is just as it should be. As I think of my daughter today I know that she can feel the undeniable love in my heart and the immense gratitude for the role that she continues to play in the evolution of my soul.

May you always remember that today and always I DO see your magnificence…

I see your tenacity when times are hard and I see your ability to centre yourself in the eye of a storm. I see your wisdom growing and I see your liberation as you gently dismantle your old self. I see your courage knowing that your dreams are within reach and I see your strength as a sense of newness permeates your life.

I see your generous spirit and I see your dedication to be of service to others.

I see your creativity and I see your individuality. I see your compassion and I see your vulnerability. I see your integrity and I see your kindness. I see your commitment to wholehearted living in body, mind and soul and I see your truth.

I see how you have aligned your intentions with Divine Will. You are a child of infinite potential and there is an unwavering power that resides in the womb of your heart and the chalice of your mind.

Continue to observe your life with relaxed attention, listening to the guidance presented releasing any expectations and trusting that the course you are on is perfect for you!

 ‘Namasté’ ‘Siyabona’

Have a beautiful day and remember how much you are loved x
