Most clients who can afford Live-In Care have had successful careers or have made suitable provision for retirement and beyond. However, in my experience, the geographical whereabouts of the client largely dictate whether this type of care is individually sustainable. 

The environment certainly dictates one of two things – it is either relatable or highlights everything that you wish you had that you don’t have. That is why I love the work I do…every home is a new ‘playing field’ to highlight unresolved issues in myself – to sit with those feelings and discover ways to unlock past conditioning.

As the past merges with the present and memories consume his world of thought, we are both transported to a nonsensical dimension that offers a safe space for exploration and discovery. Both our lives had been touched…his dementia may have left him with diminished faculties but I was truly inspired by his gratitude and appreciation for life, coupled with his uncanny ability to allow nature to keep him happy and present.
