Emotional Freedom Techniques

I want to share one of a series of intuitive spiritual tools that I found useful to quieten that critical voice in my head – they are easy to implement into your life right now. I found them useful to shift my emotions and to peel back the layers of societal influences that had shaped my physical reality.

It’s important because as you progress along your journey, you have the opportunity of becoming more in tune with your higher self. The infinite intelligence that is part of you, has been guiding you to your greatest fulfilment. As you gain control over your emotions, you begin to master them and make the choice to choose your feelings at any given moment.

Every day we strive to be the best versions of ourselves by redefining who we are in the world. Unfortunately, much of our potential ‘greatness’ is ‘offline’ – a result of blood continuously flowing away from the fore-brain in a ‘flight or fight situation that prevents us from bringing all we are to that moment.  Our brain is wired to keep us safe and we tend to cling to the negative or limiting beliefs in a way to protect ourselves.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) are holistic body/mind self-help methods that I stumbled across at a time when I was exploring new ways of calming my “monkey mind” and taking advantage of my inner guidance system.

I was struggling with meditation and welcomed the process of mindful intentional tapping. As with traditional Chinese Energy Medicine, there are several acupuncture meridian endpoints that, once engaged, are able to give a voice to the emotions, which in turn shift our response to life experiences.

Tapping can assist in getting to the ocean floor of the soul and can release layer after layer of static and toxic thought. We may live in a culture that emphasizes positive thinking, but it is also a culture that doesn’t give us time to process our emotions. This method offers a safe place to voice the negative and then re-frame the positive.

Tapping is a non-invasive technique that helped me set clear intentions. This enabled my intuition to navigate through the field into the invisible world – a space of “knowing” that is not influenced by intellectual knowledge and presents a realm of potentiality which is crucial to our evolution. This is where the magic happens.

There are many testimonies to this exceptional technique – I would like to share the following one which I think is quite fascinating and I urge you to explore further…

Nyanasanti Bhikkhu, a Buddhist monk, shares his joy at learning EFT.

I have discovered one of the most powerful healing and transformational tools I have ever encountered (after meditation)…

This is very likely a tool I’ll be using for the rest of my life. In all my years of learning various meditation techniques, studying healing systems, self-development methods, plus the wide array of methodologies I’ve been exposed to during my training in psychology and human resources management, I’ve never come across anything as potent as EFT for rapidly diffusing complex emotional problems and associated physical issues.
